The Lewisville Police Department will hold the third and final police officer testing class on 7 a.m. July 16 at the Jerry R. Galler Public Safety Training Center, 701 E. Valley Ridge Boulevard.
Check-in will take place from 7 to 8 a.m. No one will be admitted after 8 a.m.
Potential officer candidates must complete and submit an application in order to attend this class. Applications can be found at cityoflewisville.com under “Employment Opportunities.” An application must be submitted through the website or completed online at the Human Resources office, located inside City Hall at 151 W. Church Street, before an applicant can take the written exam.
Applicants will not be admitted to the test site without an official picture ID. Acceptable forms of ID include a state driver’s license, Texas state-issued ID card or military ID card. Identification that will not be accepted includes employee or student ID cards or non-Texas state IDs other than a driver’s license.
The written examination takes two hours. Applicants must score a 70 or higher to proceed to the Physical Ability Test, which will occur immediately after the written exam, weather permitting.
