The Lewisville High School has adopted Hardin Jefferson ISD, which was heavily damaged in Hurricane Harvey. LHS said most of HJISD’s students have lost everything.
Student activities director Allison Stamey said that because they are a smaller district, HJISD may have been overlooked when it comes to donations. Stamey said that 2,100 students and 255 teachers need help.
LHS is collecting 2,100 backpacks with school supplies, toiletries and gift cards to Lowes and Home Depot. Cash donations and checks made out to Lewisville High School will also be accepted.
Send your donations with your student to room G144 at Lewisville High School, or you can drop your donation off at the school office. LHS will be collecting the donations through Sept. 22 and taking them down on Sept 23.
