Sometime just after 4 p.m. Friday, a man who had been shot went into the Chick-fil-A restaurant on Main Street to wait for first responders. According to an employee at the restaurant, the shooting did not happen there. Lewisville Police Captain Mike Lane told The Lewisville Texan Journal that police had a lead in the case.
Paramedics were tending to the man in the restaurant, and he appeared to be able to walk out under his own power.
More information from police is expected shortly. We will update this story when we learn more.

Update – 1/16/2018 – 11:25 a.m.:
According to LPD Captain Michael Moore, the shooting has been classified as drug-related. “The guy was setup to buy some stuff, and saw a guy he didn’t know and began firing into a car,” Moore said. “It was paranoia and all that kind of stuff.”
The victim was shot in the knee and did not have life-threatening injuries.
No arrests have been made at this time, but if the suspect were found, he would likely be charged with aggravated assault, according to Moore.
