The Lewisville High School girls basketball team opened District 5-6A with a pair of losses to district favorites.

Coming off an impressive non-district schedule that included a win over Class 5A state-ranked Prosper, the Lady Farmers dropped their district opener to Flower Mound 37-32 last Friday. They fell to 0-2 in district play after falling to state-ranked Euless Trinity 55-35 on Tuesday.

Nala Hemingway and McKenzie Bowie each scored eight points to lead LHS against Flower Mound. The Lady Farmers were able to stay close throughout by shutting down Colorado

State-Pueblo signee Hannah Aucoin to three points.

Guard Abby Feickert led all Lady Jaguar scorers with 18 points.

The Lady Farmers were unable to neutralize Baylor pledge Trinity Oliver, who exploded for 25 points to lead Euless Trinity. Hemingway paced LHS with 15 points.

Trinity, ranked fourth in the most recent Texas Girls Coaching Association Class 6A, improved to 15-0 on the season.
